People drive their cars as if that were their skin.
A city of concrete and asphalt does lend itself to a dermis of plastic and metal. Humans drive along reverberating and resonating with the powerful steel engine, the aerodynamic shape and the resilient rubber of their cars while gaining weight, smoking, even destroying their brains. Barely functional, these people get into a high-powered systems and suddenly become the vehicle. So begins the illusion that becomes the life of those born swimming in the vodka bottle.
Upon exiting the car, the weight, the fumes, and the fog overwhelm between the vehicle and the air conditioned condo, let’s call it a sidewalk, until the next illusion takes over.
Meta, once Facebook and former to that a platform for ranking Harvard’s female students, now provides the in-between solution experienced as the sidewalk; the real you; “the problem”. Those messy feelings, thoughts, sweat that actually belong to you can be erased with the solution. You can now live in their mortgage-free, light-deprived dream. So strap in to your Meta gadget and hold on…to nothing while your world is stolen away.
Sad that it’s come to this for the recessives.
